Ch. 1

-Running, Annie calls her brother Jack over. She pretends a monster is chasing him and tries to get him to play along.


-Annie and Jack find a mysterious treehouse in the woods, a they decide to investigate what’s inside.


Ch. 2

-The treehouse begins to spin and then eventually stills. Jack and Annie look outside and see a Pteranodon; they realize they’re in prehistoric times.


Ch. 5

-Annie and Jack see a triceratops in the distance, “Does he eat people?” Annie whispered to her brother.


Ch. 8

-When faced with a T-rex, Jack looks in his dinosaur book for any hints on how to get away. The book was no help, stating that it was a large meat-eating animal that could eat a human in one bite.


Ch. 9

-The T-rex sees Jack climbing into the tree house and runs toward him. Jack gets safely inside and the dinosaur head butts the tree of the tree house. Jack wishes them home just in time.


Ch. 10

-Annie and Jack debrief on what just happened: “‘You looked at a picture in a book and said you wished we could go there,’ said Annie. ‘And the magic treehouse took us there.’ ‘But how?’ Said Jack. ‘And who built this magic treehouse? Who puts all these books here?’ ‘A magic person, I guess,’ said Annie.”
