-“‘I’d like to rip his guys out’ said Bunce. ‘He must be killed!” Cried Bean", the farmers and farmers workers often make statements like these about wanting to kill Mr. Fox.
-The farmers think of a plan to kill Mr. Fox.

Ch.4
-The farmers found the hole and tried to shot Mr. Fox, they got his tail. When they realize they missed him, they begin digging into the hole. Mrs. Fox is afraid that they will kill her children.
Ch.7
-The farmers often make fun of each other or call each other name. Ex. “Down you go, you miserable midget”.
Ch.15
-The animal prepare for their feast and steal the last farmers apple cider. The small fox takes a sip and Mr. Fox says:“You must understand this was not the ordinary weak fizzy code one buys in a store. It was the real stuff, a home brewed fiery liquor that burned your throat and boiled in your stomach”.
-When Mr. Fox realizes how much cider the rat has drank, he states “you’re drunk” to which the rat responds with “mind your own business”.
